Agenda Item Title:  Board Policy 5141.21 Administering Medication and Monitoring Health Conditions

Background: 
This policy ensures that students may access medications during the school day as indicated by their medical provider. It also ensures school communities have ready access to emergency medications or equipment, similar to Epi-Pens. The policy also makes available naloxone hydrochloride or another opioid antagonist to provide emergency medical aid to any person suffering from, or reasonably believed to be suffering from, an opioid overdose.

Staff recommend that the board approve Board Policy 5141.21 as presented.
