Agenda Item Title: Award of Contract to Foothill Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. for the HVAC Modernization and Replacement Phase 3 Project

Background:
The Board will consider awarding a contract for the HVAC Modernization and Replacement Phase 3 Project at Bubb, Imai and Landels Elementary Schools. On October 12, 2022, the District received contractor bids for the HVAC Modernization and Replacement Phase 3 Project. Seven (7) proposals were received, and the apparent low responsive and responsible bidder is Foothill Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. The District's Measure T Bond Program manager, Greystone West, has reviewed the proposal for conformance with District and statutory requirements.
Fiscal Implication:
The construction budget for this project was $450,000.00. The bid received from Foothill Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. is in the amount of $312,000.00 inclusive of a $30,000 allowance for unforeseen conditions and a $20,000 allowance for temporary heating and cooling during construction. The amount is within budget for the project. This contract is charged to Measure T.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the contract to Foothill Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. for the HVAC Modernization and Replacement Project Phase 3.
