Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. HHF Planners - Continuation of existing agreement to provide advisory consulting services to support different enrollment growth patterns, and utilization of various campus facilities for District-level needs.$25,000.00
2. Kevin Comartin, PsyD.- Will provide substitute School Psychologist services to fulfill standard initial or triennial psychoeducational evaluations and IEP attendance from October 21, 2022 through June 30, 2023, not to exceed $21,000.00.
3. Pupil Transportation Information -  Will perform a transportation study and written report of findings and recommendations from October 2022 through June 2023, $19,305.00 
4. Rhythm and Moves- The addendum will cover the two additional sessions that are being provided that were not projected in the original contract approved on May 5, 2022, $7,400.00.
5. Soul Shoppe- Will provide virtual Parent Engagement classes for Bubb Elementary during the 2022-2023 school year, $1,750.00.
6. Starting Arts- Will provide a theater production at Imai School with rehearsals starting December 12, 2022 and performance on March 30, 2023 and March 31, 2023, $5,000.00.
7. Wheelehan School Business Consulting- Will provide consulting services to the Chief Business Officer of MVWSD from October 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, not to exceed $20,000.00.
