Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. El Camino Healthcare District- Will provide a community benefit health care grant to fund the School Nurse Program from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, No cost to the district, El Camino will grant a grant of $290,000.00.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. California Preschool Instructional Network through SCCOE- Will provide professional development for Preschool staff on January 9, 2023 and March 13, 2023, $3,500.00.
2. Corodata- Will provide shredding services, district wide, for the 2022-2023 school year, $4,680.00.
3. David Taussig and Associates, Inc.- Will provide consulting services to assist in administration of Parcel Tax exemptions for the 2022-2023 school year, $75 per hour.
4. Herff Jones- Will provide Crittenden Middle School with all gloss laminated hard cover yearbooks during the 2022-2023 school year, $7,906.11.
5. Learning Without Tears- Will provide a virtual training for the Preschool staff on January 9, 2023, $900.00.
6. Listen and Learn- Will provide Auditory Verbal Therapy to SPED students for the 2022-2023 school year, $30,000.00.
7. Los Altos Union School District- MVWSD Special Education dept. requests the temporary loan of a Los Altos SD employee to perform services in support of its Deaf/Hard of Hearing ("DHH") program for the 2022-2023 school year, $78,764.28.
8. LuxBus America- Will provide busing services for 8th grade students at Crittenden Middle School for the Yosemite fieldtrip from September 26, 2022 through September 30, 2022, $30,206.24.
9. Mountain View Los Altos High School District- MVWSD Special Education dept. requests the temporary loan of a MVLA Professional Contractor to perform services in support of its Audiology program for the 2022-2023 school year, $42,351.34.
10. Samsara Inc.- Will provide a GPS system for Maintenance and Food Services vehicles from 2022-2025, $13,254.76.
11. Samsara Inc.- Will provide a GPS system for school buses for the 2022-2023 school year, $5,207.23.
12. Sown to Grow- Will provide a program that will improve student social, emotional, and academic health through an easy and engaging check-in, reflection and teacher feedback process.  The program includes software licenses and PD/training for the 2022-2023 school year, $31,750.00.
13. Via Trailways- Will provide busing services for 8th grades students at Graham Middle School for the Yosemite fieldtrip from October 17, 2022 through October 21, 2022, $26,904.00.
14. The Wattstopper Inc.- Will provide maintenance and training for the MOT dept. staff for the usage of wattstopper lighting control, located at 9 school sites from October 1, 2022 through October 1, 2023, $6,450.00.
