Agenda Item Title: Award of Contract to Paladin Technologies Inc. for the Design-Build Construction District Wide Access Control Project

Background:
The Board will consider awarding a contract for the Design-Build Construction Access Control System for Multiple Sites Project.
On July 19, 2022, the District received proposals from prequalified firms for the Design-Build Construction Security Camera Systems for Multiple Sites Project. Three (3) proposals were received. Based on a scoring rubric included with the Request for Proposals (RFP) the District has determined that the proposal from Paladin Technologies, Inc. provides the overall best value to the District. The District’s Measure T Bond Program manager, Greystone West, has reviewed the proposal for conformance with the requirements of the District’s Request for Proposals and statutory requirements.
Fiscal Implication:
The Design-Build contract amount will be $4,985,590 with all costs to be charged to the Measure T bond program. This amount is within the Board approved budget for the project.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the contract for the Design-Build Construction Access Control Project for Multiple Sites Project to Paladin Technologies in the amount of $4,985,590.
