Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. Achieve Kids- Will provide a Nonpublic School agency for SPED student placement for the 2022-2023 school year, $215,652.00.
2. BlazerWorks- Staffing contractor for SPED department for the 2022-2023 school year, $312,480.00.
3. BMR Health Services Inc.- Staffing contractor to provide SPED department with SLPs for the 2022-2023 school year, $526,008.00.
4. CHAC- Will provide Mental Health Services for MVWSD parents and students through their Continuum of Care Program for the 2022-2023 school year, $624,054.00.
5. Creative Learning Center- Will provide a Nonpublic School agency for SPED student placement for the 2022-2023 school year, $119,814.00.
6. Esther B Clark School- Will provide a Nonpublic School agency for SPED student placement for the 2022-2023 school year, $347,616.00.
7. Goodfellow Therapy- Staffing contractor to provide SPED department with OTs for the 2022-2023 school year, $410,092.80.
8. Morgan Autism Center- Will provide a Nonpublic School agency for SPED student placement for the 2022-2023 school year, $117,868.12.
9. Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE)- Will provide a Nonpublic School agency for SPED student placement for the 2022-2023 school year, $133,000.00.
10. County of Santa Clara- Will provide the Child Nutrition department with an amendment No. 1, to the existing agreement.  Per the contract, Child Nutrition will distribute at Rengstorff Park up to 200 meals to children from ages 1 to 18 during the fiscal year of 2022 and 2023, the county to reimburse MVWSD $122,746.00.
11. The Stepping Stone Group- Staffing contractor to provide SPED teacher and SLPs for the 2022-2023 school year, $739,997.28.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. Ascendancy Solutions, Inc.- Will provide a TA Facilitator for monitoring and implementing the CCEIS for new SigDis Plan for the 2022-2023 school year, $2,000.00.
2. Christy White- Will provide a financial statement and performance audit to include the balance sheet of Measure G as of June 30, 2022 and the related statement of revenues, expenditures, and changes in fund balance.  The audit will be conducted in accordance with Article 13A of the California Constitution, $3,500.00.
3. Communicaid Inc.- Will provide translation services for SPED parent documents for the 2022-2023 school year, $20,000.00.
4. Corodata- Will provide shredding services, district wide, for the 2022-2023 school year, $6,435.00.
5. Frontline Education- Will provide Comparative Analytics subscription powered by Forecast5 for the 2022-2023 school year, $7,781.00.  
6. Frontline Education- Will provide absence & substitute management, unlimited usage for internal employees for the 2022-2023 school year, $19,948.54
7. HopSkipDrive- Will provide SPED department with student transportation services, as needed, for the 2022-2023 school year, $20,000.00.
8. iInterpret- Will provide the Special Education department with interpreting services for SPED meetings during the 2022-2023 school year, $35,000.00.
9. iStation- Will provide Spanish Assessments and Intervention licenses for Mistral elementary from August 19, 2022 through August 19, 2023, $9,720.00.
10. Language Line Services, Inc.- Will provide on demand, over the phone interpretation, district wide, for the 2022-2023 school year, $1,000.00.
11. McArthur & Levin- Will provide legal consultants for the SPED department for the 2022-2023 school year, $25,000.00.
12. Playworks Education Energized- Will provide BTB with a professional development workshop for game facilitation from August 5, 2022 through August 8, 2022, $9,000.00.
13. Playworks Education Energized- Will provide services under their TeamUp program serving Landel's students, 4-5 consecutive school days per month from August 22, 2022 through May 31, 2023, $22,000.00.
14. Santa Clara County Office of Education- Will provide a Librarian of Record services to MVWSD for the 2022-2023 school year, $3,415.00.
15. The John Hopkins University, Center for Talented Youth- Will provide an asynchronous program during the 2022-2023 school year, $1,414.00.
16. UCSF Dyslexia Center- Will provide center screening and early intervention pilot program for the 2022-2023 school year, no cost to the District.
17. University of Massachusetts Global- Will provide an interim in lieu of a teacher at Crittenden middle school, to teach Social Science for the 2022-2023 school year, $74,840.00.
