Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. ALULA Business Performance- Will provide executive coaching for 10 District Leaders & Q4(360) Feedback Sessions through the 2022-2023 school year, $124,000.00.
2. ILO Group LLC- Will provide a continuation of one-on-one executive coaching sessions and a leadership development program delivered as cohort sessions for two (2) concurrent leadership development of up to 11 team members.  This programming is intended to support two (2) cohorts of MVWSD leaders, those in the Central Office, and a skill-based offering and shared cohort learning experience for a larger group of leaders, including principals from September 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, $223,000.00.
3. Ro Health, LLC- Staff contracting agency to provide SLPs, IAs and RBTs for the 2022-2023 school year, $750,000.00.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. Adroit Transportation- Will provide transportation to Special Education students as needed for the 2022-2023 school year, $40,000.00.
2. Environmental Volunteers- Will provide an Environmental Science Collaboration Program for 4th and 5th for the 2022-2023 school year, $60,000.00.
3. Foothill De Anza Community College, Family Engagement Institute- Will provide a parent engagement program that will align with the district's strategic equity plan and the district's Parent University during the 2022-2023 school year, $20,000.00.
4. Learning A-Z- Will provide a renewal and expansion of product licenses: Raz-Plus, ELL Edition, Science A-Z, Writing A-Z and Vocabulary A-Z for Gen Ed and SPED classrooms during the 2022-2023 school year, $90,389.85.
5. Learning Genie- will provide a software application for data driven child assessment and family engagement for preschool during the 2022-2023 school year, $1,980.00.
6. Peninsula Bridge- Will provide a year-round, after school program with a focus on math and language arts to 5th, 6th and 7th grade.  Program will begin September 12, 2022 through May 18, 2023, $20,000.00.
7. Peter Gorman-Leadership Assoc.- Will provide executive support for Superintendent, CBO, and Chief Human Relations Officer Organizational Development for Board retreat/planning during the 2022-2023 school year, $40,000.00.
8. Santa Clara County Office of Education- Will provide Inclusion Collaborative Professional Development Training and Coaching services to Preschool during the 2022-2023 school year, $3,742.00.
9. SAVVAS Learning Company- Will provide one-day SIOP training to MVWSD teachers in August of 2022, $25,000.00.
10. School Services of California Inc.- Will provide a Fiscal budget services annual contract renewal for the 2022-2023 school year, $4,260.00.
11. Teaching Strategies for Early Childhood- Will provide ReadyRosie subscription renewal for 2022-2023 license for Preschool, $2,400.00.
12. Transfinder- Will provide MVWSD with a Single User Software License Routing and Scheduling System from June of 2022 through June of 2025, $51,994.00.
13. Woodberry Associates - Alongside MVWSD will create a communication strategy, and content will work alongside MVWSD staff to shape a cohesive and compelling narrative that spotlights the district’s innovative leaders and initiatives. 2022-23 @ $15,000 per year
