Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

 

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

  1. Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Special Inspection Firm for geotechnical testing and observation services for the District Wide Site Lighting Project.  Funded out of Measure T, $27,000.00.
  2. Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Special Inspection Firm for geotechnical testing and observation services for the HVAC Phase 2 Project at Crittenden, Monta Loma, and Theuerkauf.  Funded out of Measure T, $24,300.00.
  3. Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Special Inspection Firm for geotechnical testing and observation services for the Park Restrooms Project at Imai, Castro/Mistral, and Landels Elementary.  Funded out Measure T, $40,500.00.
  4. Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Special Inspection Firm for geotechnical testing and observation services for the Paving and Utilities Project Phase 2 at Bubb and Imai Elementary.  Funded out of Measure T, $12,200.00.
  5. Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Special Inspection Firm for geotechnical testing and observation services for the Paving and Utilities Project Phase 2 at Crittenden Middle.  Funded out of Measure T, $3,500.00.
  6. Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Special Inspection Firm for geotechnical testing and observation services for the Vargas Parking Cover Project.  Funded out of Measure T, $10,800.00.
  7. Construction Inspection Services, Inc.- Will serve as the Division of State Architect (DSA) Certified Inspector of Record for the Paving and Utilities Phase 2 Project at Bubb, Imai Elementary, and Crittenden Middle.  Funded out of Measure T, $5,625.00.
  8. Dannis Woliver Kelley Attorneys at Law (DWK) - District appoints Attorney to represent, advise and counsel. Fee based on services provided by mutual agreement for special projects or particular scopes of work from 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years.
  9. Mountain View Police Department- Dreams & Futures Program- MOU provision of busing services from MVWSD in support of the Dreams & Futures Program activities from July 5, 2022 through July 29, 2022, no charge to MVWSD or students.
  10. Rhythm and Moves Inc.- Will provide Physical Education services for Kindergarten students once a week, for 30 minutes, at Imai Elementary from August 15, 2022 through June 9, 2023, $7,400.00.
  11. Science is Elementary- Will provide two (2) in-school science filed trips for second graders at Vargas Elementary between May 20, 2022 and June 2, 2022, $400.00.
  12. Seesaw- Will provide an agreement for license renewals for an online learning tool that MVWSD will use, district-wide, for the 2022-2023 school year, $9,690.00.

Recommended Action: 

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify or review the contracts, as presented.
