Background:
Staff is recommending that the District hire a Teacher on Special Assignment for the Special Education department. The role of the TOSA is to support special education and general education teachers in improving instructional practices, planning and organizing curriculum and instruction to ensure that instructional services respond to the needs of students with special needs.
Fiscal Implication:
None. This position will replace the current Inclusion Specialist position.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approves the job description for the Teacher on Special Assignment, Special Education as presented.
