Background:
The Board will consider awarding a contract for the Paving Upgrades Project at Bubb Elementary School, Imai Elementary School and Crittenden Middle School.
On April 5, 2022, the District received contractor bids for the Paving Upgrades Project at Bubb Elementary School, Imai Elementary School and Crittenden Middle School. Seven (7) proposals were received, and the apparent low responsive and responsible bidder is Tri Valley Excavating, Inc. The District's Measure T Bond Program manager, Greystone West, has reviewed the proposal for conformance with District and statutory requirements.
Fiscal Implication:
The construction budget for this project was $800,000.00. The bid received from Tri Valley Excavating, Inc., is $599,616.00. The contract also includes a $50,000.00 Allowance, added after the bid. Total contract amount after the allowance is added is $649,616.00 All costs will be charged to Measure T.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the contract for the Paving Upgrades Project at Bubb Elementary School, Imai Elementary School and Crittenden Middle School to Tri Valley Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $649,616.00.
