Agenda Item Title: Tentative Agreement with Mountain View Educators Association (5 minutes)

Background:
The Mountain View Educators Association, (MVEA) and the Mountain View Whisman School District negotiation teams have reached a tentative agreement for 2021-2022 Reopener Negotiations (July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022) and a new Successor Agreement (July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2024). The collective bargaining agreement between the District and MVEA shall remain in full force and effect, except as amended in this document, and as provided in the attached tentative agreements.
The Tentative Agreement includes the following:
2021-22: 5% increase to the Certificated Salary Schedule as well
a one-time, off-schedule payment of two percent (2%)
2022-23: 4% increase to the Certificated Salary Schedule
2023-24: 4% increase to the Certificated Salary Schedule
The attached agreements were reached regarding Article 3, Hours; Article 5, Compensation; Article 7, Class Size and Article 10, Evaluation.
Fiscal Implication: $2,195,102
Recommended Action: Staff recommends that the Board approve the Tentative Agreement between the Mountain View Educators Association (MVEA) and the Mountain View Whisman School District, as presented.
