Agenda Item Title: Approval of Use Fee for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations for General Public Use

Background:
As part of the District Wide PhotoVoltaic Project, a total of 12 dual port (24 port total) charging stations are being installed throughout the District. At the request of the District, the District's energy consultant, Sage Energy Consulting, has reviewed the system and associated use and energy fees and provided a recommended use fee which results in a net zero cost to the District for public use.
The use fee would apply to use by the general public after hours and would not apply to School District staff.
Fiscal Implication:
Sage Energy Consulting has estimated the cost for use and operation of the charging stations to be $0.41 per kilowatt hour (kWh) which would be passed along to the general public without markup for use of the charging stations after hours. The $0.41 fee is a year 1 estimate only and it is recommended that actual costs be evaluated and fees adjusted annually going forward.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the use fee of $0.41/kWh which would apply to use by non-school District employees after school hours.
