Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. Construction Inspection Services, Inc.- Will provide an addendum, No. 1, to the agreement for Project Inspection Services between MVWSD and Construction Inspection Services, Inc. for the Solar Photo-Voltaic Project adding the following school sites, Theuerkauf, Monta Loma and Crittenden, $5,500,000.00.
2. Testing Engineers, Inc.- Will provide an addendum, No. 1, to the agreement for Project Inspection Services between MVWSD and Testing Engineers, Inc. for the Solar Photo-Voltaic Project adding the following sites, Theuerkauf, Monta Loma and Crittenden, $5,500,00.00.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. Bucketfillers Forever- Will provide grade level assemblies, workshops and a parent presentation to Stevenson Elementary on 02/17/2022 and 02/18/2022 highlighting kindness, $2,030.00.
2. Environmental Volunteers- Will provide a 90 minute classroom program for Kindergarten students on March 1st, 2nd and 3rd of 2022 and three 90 minute classroom programs for 1st grade students on May 3rd 2022 of Amy Imai Elementary, $2,100.00.
3. HeyTutor Inc.- Will provide in-person tutoring during the school day for Stevenson students during the 2021-2022 school year, $14,000.00.
4. Math Culture LLC- Will provide 1 virtual session per week for after-school math enrichment for Stevenson students during the 2021-2022 school year, $5,610.00.
5. Morgan Autism Center- Will provide NPS student placement for the 2021-2022 school year, $44,847.09.
6. One Yard Inc.- Will provide structured play, team building and SEL instruction for students at Landels Elementary from 02/14/2022 through 06/03/2022, $10,000.00.
7. Peninsula Youth Theatre- Will provide (10) 1 hour sessions of school drama classes called Play in a Box for Vargas Elementary students.  Classes will commence from February 10, 2022 through May 5, 2022, $4,000.00.
