Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $99,100 in 2022 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

1. Discovery Education-Will provide an Amendment that will extend our current Discovery Education Contract through 06/30/2022 for STEMformation instructional support.  
2. Environmental Volunteers-Will provide MVWSD students with robust science learning opportunities through a Science Collaboration Program that align with California State Content Standards/Next Generation Science Standards from 01/2022-09/2022, $60,000.00.
3. Kate Kinsella- Will provide two virtual professional development sessions on 02/03/2022 for staff and parents on ways to support their English learner students/children, $5,000.00.
4. Keygent Advisors- Will act as a disclosure dissemination agent for MVWSD to file financial reports to the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commission from 2022-2025, $500.00.
5. KYO Autism Therapy - KYO will provide contract staffing of Instructional Assistants to our Special Education Department $40,000
6. Quality First Services Inc.- Will provide facility, janitorial services district wide at MVWSD from 01/20/2022-12/01/2022, not to exceed $5,000.00.
7. Xerox Financial Services LLC/MCR Smart Technology Solutions- Will provide a printer on lease for our MVWSD nurses' office from 12/2021 through 12/2026, $1,018.20
