Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $96,700 in 2021 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

1. California Department of Education- Continued Funding Application for the 2022-2023 State Preschool Contract.
2. Herff Jones LLC- Will provide Crittenden Middle School with gloss laminated hard cover yearbooks during the 2021-2022 school year, $5,824.28.
3. Peninsula Youth Theatre- Will provide a virtual performance for Kinder and 1st grade students of Bubb Elementary School on December 10, 2021, $260.00. 
4. Resource Area for Teaching (RAFT)- Will provide Maker Van STEAM sessions for Bubb Elementary School teachers in the 2021-2022 school year, $3,600.00.
5. Rhythm and Moves- First Addendum to Agreement between MVWSD and Rhythm and Moves to reflect adding 4 more periods a week of services, $14,120.00.
6. Run for Fun- Will provide organized and inclusive activities and games for all interested children at Imai Elementary during lunch time in the 2021-2022 school year, $4,620.00.
7. Soul Shoppe Programs- Will provide Bubb Elementary School with access to Soul Shoppe's Online Learning Platform during the 2021-2022 school year, $8,245.00.
8. Starting Arts- Will provide a theater production of Aladdin with the Imai students in grades 3-5 in February of 2021, $14,125.00.
9. Western Governors University- Will provide student teachers to MVWSD school sites with assistance of a cooperating MVWSD teacher from 12/09/2021-12/09/2024, no cost to MVWSD.
