Agenda Item Title: Award of Architectural Services Contract to Hamilton + Aitken Architects for the Paving and Utilities Project Phase 2 at Bubb Elementary School, Crittenden Middle School and Imai Elementary School

Background:
The Paving and Utilities Phase 2 Project includes replacement and repairs to existing paving at each of the three sites. The project requires the services of an architectural design firm to assist in design and construction documents, Division of the State Architect (DSA) approval, construction administration and closeout.
Fiscal Implication:
Hamilton + Aitken Architects proposed a fee for the required services in the amount of $73,900. At this time, the estimated construction cost is $758,350. The proposed fee is within the established project budget for design fees.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Hamilton + Aitken Architects as the architectural design firm and award an agreement in the amount of $73,900 to Hamilton + Aitken Architects for the Paving and Utilities Phase 2 Project.
