Agenda Item Title: Approval of Dreilling Terrones Architecture Additional Service Request No. 2 for the HVAC at Various Sites Project

The HVAC Replacement at Various Sites project includes replacement of the existing HVAC equipment at eight (8) sites. The District has requested that GPS bi-polar ionization be added to all classrooms in the original scope plus all administration/offices, multi-use/multi-purpose rooms, gymnasiums, District offices and the shared Mountain View Sports Pavilions at Crittenden and Graham Middle Schools. Following a lawsuit filed against GPS in May 2021, the District has requested DTA and its consultants to conduct research into the lawsuit, possible filtration alternatives to the GPS bipolar ionization devices and potential testing options to gather data on the impacts of the GPS devices on the indoor air environments.
This additional scope of work is not included in the scope of services originally approved in Dreilling Terrones Architecture's proposal.
Dreilling Terrones Architecture has presented an additional service fee proposal for the required services in the amount of $11,079.50 This proposal is within the established project budget for design contingency-Measure T.
It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve the additional service fee proposal for Dreilling Terrones Architecture in the amount of $11,079.50 and award the Addendum #2 for additional services to their existing agreement.
