Background:
During the District-Wide Solar Photovoltaic System project, unforeseen conditions, design changes and owner requests have occurred, resulting in revisions to the scope of the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used.
A design contingency of $886,462 has been budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for $305,880.40 increased the Engie Services contract amount to $9,170,496.40.
Change Order #2 for $445,189.00 increased the Engie Services contract amount to $9,678,301.00.
Change Order #3 for $33,672.00 will increase the Engie Services contract amount to $9,711,973.00.
Change Order #4 for $17,480.00 will increase the Engie Services contract amount to $9,666,838.00.
Fiscal Implication:
The monies required for Change Order #4 will not exceed $17,480.00. After Change Order #4, the balance of the design contingency will be $101,670, and the balance remaining in the construction contingency will be $868,932.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #4 for the Solar Photovoltaic System and Data Acquisition System at School Sites Project.
