Agenda Item Title:  Notice of Completion - Paving and Utilities Project, Silicon Valley Paving, Inc.

Background: 

On June 17, 2021, the Board approved the construction contract for the Paving and Utilities Project from Measure T funds.  The Board approved the award of the project to Silicon Valley Paving, Inc. in the amount of $309,600.00. 

On September 9, 2021, the Board approved Change Order #1 in the total amount of $33,334.  The final contract amount including Change Order #1 is $342,934.00. 


Work on this project is now substantially complete.



Fiscal Implication:

The District currently holds retention in the amount of $17,146.70, or 5% of the final contract value. After a minimum of thirty-five (35) days after the filing of the Notices of Completion with the County of Santa Clara recorder, the District will release the retention amount provided all remaining close out and punch list items have been completed.



Recommended Action: 

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the filing of the Notice of Completion for the Paving and Utilities Project.
