Agenda Item Title: Award of Contract to Silicon Valley Paving, Inc. for the Mariano Castro ES and Theuerkauf ES Paving & Utilities Project

Background:
District received contractor proposals for the Mariano Castro ES and Theuerkauf ES Paving & Utilities Project. Ten (10) proposals were received, and the apparent low responsive and responsible bidder is Silicon Valley Paving, Inc. The District’s Measure T Bond Program manager, Greystone West, has reviewed the proposal for conformance with District and statutory requirements.
Fiscal Implication:
The total contract amount will be $309,600 (Base bid $259,600 + Allowance for DSA Changes $50,000) with all costs to be charged to the Measure T bond program.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the contract for the Mariano Castro ES and Theuerkauf ES Paving & Utilities Project to Silicon Valley Paving, Inc. in the amount of $309,600 and authorize staff to issue a purchase order for the work.
