Agenda Item Title: Award of Testing & Special Inspection Services Contract to Testing Engineers, Inc. for the Solar Photo-Voltaic Phase 1 Project

Background:
The Solar Photo-Voltaic Phase 1 project involves the construction and installation of solar/photovoltaic systems at Bubb, Huff, Landels, Castro/Mistral, Graham, Vargas and Stevenson Schools. The project requires the services of a testing & special inspection firm to provide testing and special inspections.
Fiscal Implication:
Testing Engineers, Inc. has presented a service fee proposal for the required services in the amount of $66,621. At this time, the estimated construction cost for Phase 1 is $5,500,000. This proposal is within the established project budget for testing & special inspection fees.
Recommended Action: It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve the service fee proposal and award of an agreement to Testing Engineers, Inc. in the amount of $66,621.
