Agenda Item Title: Award of Contract to Golden Bay Fence plus Iron Works, Inc. for the District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades Project Phase 2

Background:
The Board will consider for award a contract for the District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades Project.
On September 17, 2020, the Board awarded Phase 1 of the District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades Project to Golden Bay Fence plus Iron Works, Inc. Phase 1 which includes Bubb Elementary School, Castro/Mistral Elementary School, Crittenden Middle School, Huff Elementary School, Landels Elementary School, Stevenson Elementary School and Theuerkauf Elementary School. The Board is being asked to consider award of Phase 2 which includes the work at Monta Loma Elementary School and Graham Middle School. As the scope of work at Monta Loma remains unclear, that scope of work will be deleted from this contract and bid as a separate, standalone project in the future once scope is determined.
Fiscal Implication:
The total contract amount for phase 2 will be $269,840 with all costs to be charged to the Measure T bond program.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the contract for the District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades Project – Phase 2 to Golden Bay Fence plus Iron Works, Inc. in the amount of $269,840 and authorize staff to issue a purchase order for the work.
