Agenda Item Title: Approval of HY Architects Additional Service Request for the District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades Project

Background:
The District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades project includes perimeter control upgrades at various campuses. The District is adding new gates, panic hardware and electrified gate access to 8 sites. Additionally, the original scope of design services for Monta Loma Elementary School is being modified to include two options for park entrance studies. Therefore, the District is requesting the development of site access renderings and site layouts for all sites to support the District’s efforts in providing staff and community with presentation materials. This additional scope of work is not included in the scope of services originally approved in Hibser Yamauchi Architects, Inc. proposal.
Fiscal Implication:
HY Architects has presented additional service fee proposals for each of the District’s requested services in the total amount of $76,870 (inclusive of $3,305 for reimbursable expenses). This proposal is within the established project budget for Architect Fees-Measure T.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve the additional service fee proposals for HY Architects in the amount of $76,870.
