Agenda Item Title:  Award of CMAS (California Multiple Award Schedule) Contract to Stewart Signs for the Purchase of Signage for the Crittenden Middle School and Vargas Elementary School Marquee Signs Project

Background: 

The Board will consider for award a CMAS contract for the purchase of marquee signs for the Crittenden Middle School and Vargas Elementary School Marquee Signs Project.

On February 26,  2021, the District received proposals from Stewart Signs for the procurement of signage for the Crittenden Middle School and Vargas Elementary School Marquee Signs Project.  In lieu of the competitive bid process, the CMAS contract with Stewart Signs is an acceptable and cost-effective means for the District to purchase the specified product. The District’s Measure T Bond Program manager, Greystone West, has reviewed the proposal for conformance with District and statutory requirements.

 



Fiscal Implication:

The contract amount will be $23,264.00 ($4,957 for Vargas ES signage and $18,307 for Crittenden MS signage) with all costs to be charged to the Measure T bond program.



Recommended Action: 

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the CMAS contract for the purchase of signage for the Crittenden Middle School and Vargas Elementary School Marquee Signs Project to Stewart Signs in the amount of $23,264.00 and authorize staff to issue a purchase order for the work.
