Agenda Item Title: Approve Pool of Special Inspections and Testing Services Consultants to Propose Measure T Construction Projects

Background:
The purpose of this agenda item is to approve a pool of consultant firms that responded to the District’s December 17, 2020, request for statement of qualifications (“RFQ”) for Special Inspections and Testing Consulting services for construction, maintenance, repair, or related projects as needed and the District’s Measure T Bond Program (“Project(s)”). The District is complying with the procurement process required by Government Code section 4525, et seq. Four (4) Testing and Special Inspection Services Consulting firms responded to the RFQ. The District evaluated each firm’s response to the following criteria of the RFQ.

District staff is recommending that the Board approve the four (4) firms who responded, identified below, to be in the District’s pool of Geotechnical Services Consulting firms for the Projects.

1. Testing Engineers, Inc.

2. Construction Testing Services

3. Inspection Services, Inc.
|
|
4. Consolidated Engineering Laboratories
|
Once the Board approves this pool of project firms, the District will solicit proposals from that pool as each Project is ready for Testing and Special Inspection Services and will enter into agreement(s) with the successful firm(s) in the form of Agreement attached to this Board item, which will be brought to the Board for approval.

Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the above list of Testing and Special Inspection Services firms to be in the District’s pool of Special Inspections and Testing Services consulting firms for the Projects, based on District’s procurement and selection process identified herein.
