Background: 

Staff will present a proposal to provide the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program to MVWSD 6th grade students in the 2020-21 school year.

The D.A.R.E Program strives to teach students good decision-making skills to help them lead safe and healthy lives.

In 2019-20 the MVWSD community expressed concern around the rise in student vaping, MVWSD met with representatives from the Youth Services Division of the MVPD to explore options for bringing the program back to MVWSD for 6th grade students.
