Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $92,600 in 2019 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.
Presented for ratification are the following contract(s):
- Olimpico Learning - Summer Program 2020 for gr 1-5 to improve skills in Math and English Language Arts. Summer Program for Theruerkauf and Castro students $160,000
Presented for review are the following contract(s):
- Imagineerz Learning - Instructional program for 20 4th graders 1h/15m week - Build an Amusement Park Program @ Vargas School $3,000
- Parent Engagement workshop on practical ways they can support their children at home in advancing their home language skills and EL proficiency $5,000
- Notre Dame de Namur University - Supervise candidates for the California Teaching Credential Programs $no cost to MVWSD
- Notre Dame de Namur University - Supervise candidates for the California Teaching Credential Programs for Special Education teachers $no cost to MVWSD
- Santa Clara County Office of Education - Provide Kognito Training licenses for middle school staff to take the Step In, Speak Up module $no cost to MVWSD
- Memorandum of Understanding - MVWSD will provided bagged lunches for free and reduced students of the Los Altos District during the COVID-19 Shelter In Place. Los Altos will pay MVWSD for the cost of the meals. No cost to MVWSD.

Recommended Action: It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify or review the contracts, as presented.
