Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

 

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $92,600 in 2019 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

  1. Document Tracking Services - License renewal to use DTS web-based application for 2020 LCAP template and 2020 School Plan for Student Achievement template $ $14,157
  2. Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost - Communications and legislative workshop $1,200
  3. Friends of Vision Literacy -  Friends of Vision Literacy will provide the Together We Learn program at Castro Elementary where they will provide English instruction to parents and their children   $no cost to MVWSD
  4. Mountain View Tennis Academy - Tennis instruction for Landels students $200
  5. Olimpico Learning - Academic Afterschool Program will engage students and parents in an after school program environment that uses technology to improve math and english language art skills $1,500
  6. Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley New Teacher Project - New Teacher Induction Program for 20/21 school year $TBD ($2000 per teacher participant. Participants confirmed after hiring for 20/21 school year)
  7. Uplift Family Services - Providing specialized behavioral health services for individuals, groups, and/or family therapy to Castro, Crittenden, Graham, Monta Loma and Theuerkauf schools $no cost to MVWSD
