Agenda Item Title:  Theuerkauf Elementary School - Single Plan for Student Achievement (5 minutes)

Background: 

The District is presenting the Theuerkauf Elementary School Single Plan for Student Achievement for approval as part of the waiver process for Title I.  

Based on data collected for the winter release of the Consolidated Application Theuerkauf has fallen below the minimum low income eligibility criteria (40%) to operate as a Title I school wide program. However, Theuerkauf meets the criteria to apply for a waiver in order to continue as a Title I schoolwide program.  

The Board of Trustees must approve a waiver request based on the fact that Theuerkauf has greater than 25% of students are still considered low income and that continuing as a school wide program is the best way to serve students. 

Theuerkauf is  submitting a revised school plan for student achievement for approval and has met with their School Site Council and English Learner Advisory Committee to review the changes and update them on their Title I status.  Changes to the plan include updating low income numbers and adding data from i-Ready assessments.
