Background:
Board Policy No. 5131, Conduct as been revised in accordance with recommendations from the California School Boards Association.
The policy reflects new law that authorizes boards to limit or prohibit, except under specified circumstances, student use of smartphones while at school or under the supervision and control of a district employee.

Recommended Action:
That the Board approve Board Policy No. 5132, Conduct, as presented.
