Background:
During the Crittenden and Cooper Reroof Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used.
The total construction contingency of $63,057.50 as budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for ($20,694.21) will increase the contingency amount to $83,751.71 with, 100% of the project complete.
Total Change Orders to date equal ($20,694.21) and equate to -3.2% of the contract value. To date, Joseph Murphy Construction Group has completed 100% of the contract work.
Fiscal Implication:
The contingency monies required for Change Order #1 will not exceed ($20,694.21). A summary of Change Order #1 is attached.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #1 for the Crittenden Middle School and Cooper Reroof Project.
