Background: 
Background:  On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $92,600 in 2019 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

  1. Austin Texas Learning Group - Contracted service provider for Special Ed. $126,000

 

Presented for review are the following contract(s)

  1. DJ Circle - Musical entertainment for Graham Middle School dances Sept-May $3,975
  2. Engie Services U.S. Inc -The Contractor will advise and consult with District personnel and other District consultants, including Sage Renewables and legal counsel, to determine the feasibility of solar  $15,000
  3. Civic Permits Inc. - Software services $3,289 
  4. Foothill De Anza Family Engagement - Parenting and professional Development for Castro families $8,000
  5. Emerson College - Speech Therapist Intern $no cost to MVWSD
  6. Jack Schreder & Associates - Developer fee justification study $4,698
  7. Kate O'Malley - Coaching staff on elements of QRIS Matrix $5,813
  8. Kidizens - Afterschool enrichment classes at Bubb School $no cost to MVWSD
  9. Los Altos School District - When necessary, students have access to special education programs operated by LASD and is/are placed through the IEP process  $65,125
  10. Santa Clara Office of Ed. - Kognito/Suicide Prevention and Crisis Intervention training and Kognito annual licenses cost $4,874
  11. VIA Adventures California - Transportation to Yosemite for Graham students $12,049.20
