Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $92,600 in 2019 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

- BMR Health Services - Provides contracted service providers e.g., Occupational Therapists, & Psychologists $558,560
- CHAC - (Amended agreement to include Village Program for Castro School) CHAC to provide Individual Counseling/Psycho-Educational Groups/Crisis and Grief Counseling to MVWSD students $360,000
- Discovery Education - Elementary school site licenses for access to Discovery Education Streaming Plus and Discovery Education STEM Connect and professional development services. $687,600 4-year term
- Therapeutic Learning Consultants - Contracted registered Behavior Technicians $142,159.25
- Zum Services - Passenger Vehicle Special Education Pupil Transportation Services for students designated by MVWSD for transport $206,400

- Enome Inc. - Membership to Goalbook Toolkit which provides educators to vary the level of instructional support to students with special needs. Three-year membership $91,200
- Greenfield Learning - Lexia Reading renewal license for Castro School $23,330
- Heartland - This contract provides a service for families and the district to process electronic payments. This cost will be built into the price of the goods and services families choose to purchase with a 3.95% fee for processing
- Iinterpret - Online requesting service for interpreters for Special Education Meetings 20,000
- José Valdés Math Institute - Summer Math Remedial Program for 4th & 5th-grade students who nearly meet or do not meet math standards $no cost to MVWSD
- Literably - Renewal subscription of online reading assessments and progress monitoring for elementary sites and English Learners at the middle schools $11,000
- Michael's Transportation Services - Providing student transportation for the Valdes summer program to Stanford University $15,000
- Playworks - TeamUp program will provide an experienced Playworks Site Coordinator who is on-site for 5 days each month to model/teach strategies, games, and systems to develop and sustain a positive educational culture for everyone, starting at recess at Mistral $12,500 PTA paid
- Reading Partners - Reading Partners is a volunteer-based tutoring program. The program is for Castro students $11,000
- Santa Clara County Office of Ed. - Professional learning workshop to middle school teachers to support them with the implementation of rigorous mathematics instruction $260.00
- ServiceNow, Inc. - Annual subscription fee for support request system $30,600
- Susan Hentz & Associates - Professional development for Co-Teachers $4,500
- West Interactive Services dba SchoolMessenger -Online communication application $5,938.00
- Zearn - Renewal subscription of school accounts for online math lessons for elementary sites and On-Demand Professional Development $22,500
