Background: 

MVWSD has been contracting for Board Certified Behavior Analysts as well as behavioral technicians for the past three years.  As a district we have seen the importance of having these positions as district classified staff.  The Board Certified Behavior Analysts will be given the responsibility for supervision and training of district hired Behavior Technicians.

Pros:

·       Reduces contracted services

·       Creates career pathway for MVWSD employees

·       Likelihood of improved retention of staff

·       Budget savings of roughly $500,000
