Background: 

When, as a result of a bona fide reduction or elimination of the service being performed by any department, classified employees shall be subject o layoff, for lack of work or lack of funds at the end of the school year, affected employees must be given written notice not less than 60 days prior to the effective date of the layoff and informed of their displacement rights, if any, and reemployment rights (Education Codes 45117, 45298, 45308.)

The following positions are being eliminated:

• Two School and Community Engagement Facilitators
• 0.375 FTE Clerical Assistant III at Graham Middle School
• One Planned School and Community Engagement Facilitator at Vargas Elementary
• One Planned addition of Library Technician at Vargas Elementary
• Release four Temporary At-Risk Intervention Supervisors at Huff, Monta Loma, Landels and Mistral Elementary
• Reduce the work year of School and Community Engagement Facilitators from 11-month to 10-month
• Reduce work year of At-Risk Intervention Supervisors from 11-month to 10-month
• Reduce the Library Technician FTE at Graham Middle School from 1.125 FTE to 1.0 FTE
