Background:
During the Slater/Vargas Elementary School MUR, increment 3 Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used.
The total construction contingency of $199,889 was budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for $134,194 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $65,695 with 52% of the project complete.
Fiscal Implication:
The contingency monies required for Change Order #1 will not exceed $134,194. A summary of Change Order #1 is attached.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #1 for the Slater Elementary School MUR, Increment 3 Project.
