Background:
During the Mariano Castro/Gabriela Mistral Elementary School Phase 4, Increment 2 Modular Classroom Building Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used.
The total construction contingency of $140,437.85 was budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for $22,173 was approved on January 10, 2019.
Change Order #2 for $6,371 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $111,893.80 with 100% of the project complete.
Fiscal Implication:
The contingency monies required for Change Order #2 will not exceed $6,371. A summary of Change Order #2 is attached.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #2 for the Mariano Castro/Gabriela Mistral School Phase 4, Increment 2 Modular Classroom Building Project.
