Agenda Item Title: Vargas Elementary School Flex Portables Change Order No. 1 – American Modular Systems, Inc.

Background:
During the Vargas Elementary School Flex Portables Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used.
The total construction contingency of $24,453 was budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for $22,310 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $2,323 with 90 % of the project complete.
Fiscal Implication:
The contingency monies required for Change Order #1 will not exceed $22,310. A summary of Change Order #1 is attached.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #1 for the Vargas Elementary School Flex Portables Project.
