Background:
Overview of the Policy
Board Policy No. 6145. is a new policy that is required as part of the District’s participation in federal programs including Title I and Title III and the recent Federal Program Monitoring review. It provides an overview of how the District shall oversee athletic programs. The policy includes information about coaching, eligibility, sportsmanship, health and safety as well as an expectation that any program is free from discrimination.

That the Board approve Board Policy No. 6145.2, Athletic Competition at second reading, as presented.
