Agenda Item Title:  Theuerkauf Elementary School Modernization Increment 1 Change Order No. 1– Coulter Construction, Inc.

Background: 

During the Theuerkauf Elementary School Modernization Increment 1 Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used.

 

The total construction contingency of $624,350 was budgeted for this project.

 

Change Order #1 for $514,606 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $109,744, with 100% of the project complete.

 



Fiscal Implication:

The contingency monies required for Change Order #1 will not exceed $514,606. The Lease-Leaseback  contract will be reduced by the remaining contingency of $109,744.  A summary of Change Order #1 is attached.



Recommended Action: 

That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #1 for the Theuerkauf Elementary School Modernization Increment 1 Project.
